The Konica Minolta OGI camera is one of the most advanced and functional cameras that we have evaluated. Before applying OGI technology in the wastewater sector, there were no means or methods for leak detection and repair (LDAR). Very few wastewater treatment plants do any type of leak detection, and the ones that do use personal gas monitors as equipment leak detectors. The lack of meaningful tools has resulted in a limited effort to repair equipment for fugitive methane leaks other than during routine maintenance. The Konica Minolta OGI camera provides a fantastic solution that will help the wastewater sector be able to broadly adopt a LDAR standards. The OGI camera's thoughtful hardware and software design makes it highly compatible with its use for wastewater applications, allowing for efficient and effective surveying. This can be for both initial investigations as well as verification of repair and abatement solutions. Through tools like the OGI camera, the wastewater sector can vastly improve safety and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
