Spectrodensitometer FD-7/FD-5 Firmware Update

Installing the software

• This firmware update software is only for updating the firmware of the Spectrodensitometer FD-7, FD-5, FD-5 BT, or FD-5 BT2.

Installation procedure

• Before running the firmware updater program, please switch off the Bluetooth function of the computer.

1. Save the download file (fd7-fd5_updatevxxx_eng.zip, where "xxx" is the version number) to a folder on your computer.
2. Extract the files in the .zip file to a folder on your computer.
3. In the folder containing the extracted files, open the FD-7/FD-5 Firmware Update Software Instruction Manual (the file named FD-7_FD-5 FirmwareUpdateSoftwareInstructionManual.pdf) and follow the instructions for updating the firmware. Double-clicking the file named FD-7_FD-5UpdateVxxx.exe (where "xxx" is the version number) in the same folder will start the firmware update software. If a confirmation message is displayed, click [OK] or [Continue].
4. When the firmware update has been completed, the downloaded file and extracted files (instruction manual and firmware update software) can be deleted.
