Specification changes:
- 64-bit SDK has been added, so now both 32-bit and 64-bit mode applications can be developed.
- Sample software using C# and VB 2013 development environments are included. (Sample software for VB6.0 and C++ development environments are no longer included.)
Bug fixes:
The following bugs have been fixed:
- Problem in which the same measurement value was repeatedly output when measuring low-light flicker in JEITA flicker measurement mode. (Measurement value property was added.)
- Problem in which measurement values in a measurement data file (CSV format) could not be properly read into Excel in a German-language environment.
- Mistake in statement of upper limit for JEITA measurements in the Programming Guide.
Differences between ver. 4.30 and ver. 4.40
System requirement changes:
- Windows® 8.1 Pro 32-bit (x86), Windows® 8.1 Pro 64-bit (x64), Windows® 10 Pro 32-bit (x86), and Windows® 10 Pro 64-bit (x64) have been added to the list of compatible OS.
- Windows® 8 Pro 32-bit (x86), Windows® 8 Pro 64-bit (x64), Windows® XP Professional 32 bit (x86) and Windows® XP Professional 64 bit (x64) have been deleted from the list of compatible OS.
Specification changes:
- Excel sample macros have been added to the "Sample" folder in the unzipped files.
Bug fixes:
The following bugs have been fixed:
- Problem with the set number of probes not being correct in the OutputProbes property of the CA object.
- Explanations of program examples and errors in the Programming Guide (English and Japanese versions) have been revised.
- Problem in which the Readme (English version) for the sample VB program was not shown correctly.

System requirement changes:
- Windows 8 Pro 32-bit (x86) and Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (x64) have been added to the list of compatible OS.
- Windows Vista Business 32 bit (x86) and Windows Vista Business 64 bit (x64) have been deleted from the list of compatible OS.
Specification changes:
- For the SetPwrONStatus method of the Ca object, additional settings when using an instrument with firmware version Ver.4.02.0000 or higher have been added. For details, refer to the Programming Guide.
- The company name has been changed from KONICA MINOLTA SENSING, INC. to KONICA MINOLTA, INC.

- Error in the Programming Guide explanation of calibration mode information obtained using the GetMemoryStatus method of the Memory object.

1.Connection and operation of multiple (up to 5) CA instruments via USB communication
Computing environment:
Measurement response when several CA units are connected has been improved.
Since there is compatibility with previous versions of CA-SDK, programs written using previous versions can be used without modification. Even when multiple CA units are connected, as long as there are no port number problems, operation can be performed by just changing to USB connection. However, to take advantage of the improvements in this version, it is recommended that you refer to the explanations in the CA-SDK manual to create and use your application.
