Effects of and Measures taken for Earthquake in Eastern Japan As of April 12

April 12, 2011

To our customers,

In order to cope with the earthquake that occurred in Eastern Japan on March 11, we have been taking measures for realizing recoveries as early as possible, mainly through activities of the project team for formulating the business continuity plans. Please find below the recovery status of our company group.

1.
Damages to our facilities: One of our sales branches in Japan incurred damages. However, the sales and service activities at that branch have become normalized by receiving support from the other sales branches.
2.
Capabilities of production of products (machines): There are no adverse effects on our production capabilities in China as of now. We are still checking as to whether we will be able to continue supplying necessary parts and raw materials to our Chinese production facilities.
3.
Supply of consumables: We are now engaged in normal production of consumables.

Our management, together with our employees, is determined to take every possible measure to realize sound and proper business operations of our company group. We appreciate your kind understanding as to the above.

We remain,

Sincerely yours,
