Konica Minolta's Policy on Coping with New Coronavirus

The Konica Minolta Group, while complying with the directives and regulations of each country, places top priority on ensuring the health and safety of the group's employees and their families, and continues to make every effort to prevent the spread of infection and to ensure that the provision of products and services to society and its customers is not hindered. The Group’s policy is:

• Ensure the health and safety of Group employees and their families as top priority
• Consider the impact on society and prevent as many people as possible from becoming infectious
• Make maximum effort to continuously provide the services and products required by society and customers
• Maintain management base and work on business continuity plan (BCP)

Employee Responses

In order to prevent further spread of COVID-19, we give top priority to the safety and security of all employees. In Japan, the following actions are taken:

• Work is based on remote work at home (excluding jobs that cannot be remotely done). If remote work is not possible, utilize flexible time and commute during off-peak hours to avoid busy transportation.
• Domestic business trips that are not necessary are prohibited for a certain period of time, and overseas business trips are banned.
• In principle, remote meetings (video conferences) are used for internal and external meetings. Face-to-face meetings exceeding one hour are prohibited.
• Seminars and events hosted by us for external use are changed to seminars on the Web, postponed or canceled.
• Participation in seminars and events hosted by third parties is prohibited as a rule.

In Japan, we take care of employees’ mental healthcare, such as the establishment of in-house consultation desks, to deal with mental risks arising from ongoing remote work at home, including communication among employees and changes in lifestyles.

Around the world we respond appropriately to directives and instructions from governments and local authorities regarding working styles, such as whether employees may work in the company facilities or must stay home.

Product Supply (Global Production Status and Impact on Japan and Major Regions)

In the mainstay Business Technologies business, production sites in China re-started operations in February and are recovering steadily. Manufacturing bases in Malaysia are affected by governmental restrictions, but we are striving to promptly start up operations after the restrictions are eased. In other businesses, production sites in China are recovering steadily.

We make every effort to ensure that our products and maintenance parts do not affect our customers. However, some of our products may not be delivered at the desired delivery time.

We will swiftly implement the necessary measures while keeping a close watch on future trends.
