Notice Regarding Fire at Konica Minolta Supplies Manufacturing’s Tatsuno Factory

Tokyo (July 7, 2021) – Around 6pm on July 6, a fire broke out at Tatsuno Factory of Konica Minolta Supplies Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a Konica Minolta Group company. The factory is located in Tatsuno, Nagano Prefecture. We would like to give our sincerest apologies to residents in neighboring communities, relevant authorities and all those for the trouble. Below is the status as of 10pm, July 6. We will keep posting updates.

Around 5:50pm, sound of explosion was heard and a fire from production line was confirmed.
Around 6:00pm, firefighters started working on the fire.
At 8:40, firefighters confirmed the fire was fully extinguished. - Damages
There was no injury or casualty. Physical damages on the facility is being assessed. - Cause
The relevant authorities are currently investigating the cause. - Effects on production and shipment

The Konica Minolta Group sincerely addresses the incident and works on securing safety in the area. Cooperating with the local fire department, police department and relevant authorities, we will thoroughly investigate the cause and work to prevent the recurrence.
