Shinichiro Oka started his professional career at Toshiba Corporation in 1991. He was in charge of human resources at the plants and headquarters of the Medical Equipment and Home Appliance Business Divisions. He then served as human resources director at United Technologies, IBM Corporation, and Coca-Cola (Japan) Co., Ltd. in a number of critical positions, including head of Asia-Pacific regional human resources management, JV realignment project leader and global executive development leader.
Prior to joining Konica Minolta, as Executive Officer and Global CHRO of Macromill, Inc., he introduced new HR programs and policies to support the sustainable growth of its marketing research business at the global market. Focusing on acquisition and development of talents with strong leadership capability, he successfully led the company’s re-listing on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2017.
Oka joined Konica Minolta in June 2020 as Executive Officer. Responsible for human resources, he has been working to acquire and develop global talents who will drive Konica Minolta's business model transformation, while leading its organizational transformation initiatives with his hands-on involvement inside the businesses.
