Konica Minolta Medical & Graphic, Inc. Announces Sale of North American CTP Business
Tokyo (September 17, 2010) – Konica Minolta Medical & Graphic, Inc. (Konica Minolta MG) today announced that it has decided to sell Computer-to-Plate (CTP) business of Konica Minolta Graphic Imaging U.S.A., Inc. (MGUS), which is engaged in North American sales activities, and American Litho Inc. (AL), a subsidiary of MGUS. Both MGUS and AL are headquartered in Michigan, U.S.A.

Konica Minolta Group has been reforming its organization by integrating digital printing business resources of Konica Minolta MG into Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc. in pursuit of strengthening competitiveness and expanding applications in its production printing business, a segment positioned as its priority business. <Scope of Sale>
The following businesses are planned to be sold to Southern Lithoplate:
- CTP sales and service businesses and related assets of MGUS
- All businesses (CTP manufacturing businesses) of AL
<Future Prospects>
The sale is targeted to be completed by October 1, 2010, subject to procedures in accordance with local regulations.
